Report on Portraiture Workshop

On December 1, a successful portraiture workshop was held in the Common Room at St. John’s College, attended by approximately 10 participants. The workshop was facilitated by Mr. Yankov Wong, a professional photographer and 3F brother.
Workshop Highlights

Yankov shared essential concepts of good photography, including:
• Angle of Photography: Participants learned how different angles affect perspective and composition.
• Lighting Techniques: The workshop covered various lighting directions and how to effectively use flash to complement ambient natural light.
We were fortunate to have our student model, Miss Aglaia Dubina from Russia, who added a vibrant element to the practice sessions.
Schedule

The workshop ran from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, providing ample time for participants to engage in hands-on practice. Everyone had the opportunity to apply the techniques discussed and capture impressive portraits.
