Amidst the ongoing reform of the College, a new academic year has just begun. This year, a whopping 100+ freshmen completed the orientation to be a part of the St. John’s family. To facilitate the integration of the fresh faces into our community, we would like to take this opportunity to arrange a Freshmen Welcoming Party at SJC.

7:00pm – 7:30pm Sherry (Senior Common Room)
7:30pm – 8:30pm Dinner and Tea (Dining Hall)
8:30pm – 9:00pm Introduction of SJCAA (Senior Common Room)
9:00pm – 10:00pm Sharing and Networking (Dining Hall)
During the sharing session, the freshmen will be divided in groups and alumni will rotate amongst different groups. The mingling encourages exchange of ideas. The discussion can revolve around a wide range of issues including career advice, mentorship programme, projects for AA funding from St. John’s Foundation, environmental-friendly proposals – you name it.
Kindly note that more than 40 of the freshmen are international students, so the party will be conducted in English. Also, most of them are studying subjects like computer engineering, medical, dental, business and law. It would be great if alumni of the aforementioned professions can share their insights with the freshmen so that they can be better equipped on campus, at the college or in society at large.
