Geo Park Boat Trip 19 Aug 2018

Due to the typhoon, our boat trip was postponed to 19 Aug 2018. There were a total of 48 Alumni and friends participated in the boat trip.

We started sharply at 10:30 am from Sai Kung Public Ferry Pier and our first destination was an eco visit to a small island just opposite to Sai Kung – Yim Tin Tsai Village. We visited by group to the St. Joseph Chapel there and then the salt farm near the Village. Afterwards, we also had a chance to taste the famous “cha kuo” -the tea cakes hand made by the locals.

After the visit of the Yim Tin Tsai Village, our boat headed straight to the Hong Kong UNESCO – Po Pin
Chau Geo Park. Our alumni have a chance to see the hexagonal volcanic rock columns protruding from the oceans.

After the Geo Park, our boat was parked in a bay nearby where we started our lunch and water sports activities. Both the wake board/water skiing and the floating magic carpet were very popular and welcome by our alumni and their children.

At 5 pm, we started heading back to Sai Kung and ended a very successful and fruitful Boat Trip in the summer of 2018.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our two alumni Mr. Alex Ho (6/F) and Mr. Arthur Ling (5/F) who provided us with both the junk and also driving speed boat for the water sports. Thank you very much.
