Summer Internship 2020
The Summer Internship for our current St. Johnians this year will start from June. Unlike the internship opportunities provided by the University and other big organizations, SJCAA Internship Program is specifically targeted to offer help to some of our current St. Johnians who might have difficulties in finding summer jobs due to their engagement in the College activities, status of studying or duration of the jobs. So we really need your help as an Alumni to them.
This year, because of the COVID 19 situation, we would expect the availability of suitable internship for our students will be greatly reduced, so generous assistance from our Alumni will be much needed.
There are 56 applicants this year. While some of them are foreign exchange students, the others are mainly second and third year local students.
Below are the summary of their internship preference and the total number in each category:-
Law-related internship (barrister or solicitor) – 18
Banking and Finance – 15
Business/Marketing/Management – 6
Insurance – 2
IT/Mechanical Engg – 10
Biomed Engg – 2
Industrial/Logistics – 1
Arts/Global Creative Industries – 4
Architecture – 1
Public Relations – 2
We hope each internship can last for about 4-8 weeks between early June to August of 2020. If you or your organisation / network can provide internship opportunities for our current St. Johnians, please fill in the form below and we will get back to you asap.
