HKU Graduating Class High Table

All alumni are invited to attend the St John?s College Graduating Class 2016 High on Monday April 25th, 2016.

The occasion is to congratulate our graduating students, celebrate their transition is life, and prize presentations to honor the achievements and service of current Jongman.

The Guest of Honour is Mr. Cheung Leong who is Head of H.K. Jockey Club Charity. The topic of his high Table Talk will focus on personal journeys and struggles from student to contributing members to build a fair and just society. I heard his talk on his experiences of running the marathon. It was indeed an excellent one. St John’s has always advocated a competitive and team spirit in our character formation through sports, culture, and academic road to excellence. He will be invited to speak for about twenty minutes to members of College, at the High Table. There will be opportunity for Q&A and informal discussions with students after High Table in the Senior Common Room after High Table.

The whole High Table dinner programme normally finishes at 9.30pm. The programme for the evening will be as follows:
a. 6.30pm Sherry
Venue:
College Senior Common Room, 2F Liang Chi Hao Building
b. 7.00pm to 7.20pm High Table Talk
Venue:
College Dininghall, 3F Liang Chi Hao Building
c. 7.20pm to 8.00pm High Table
Venue: as above
d. 8.00pm to 8.30pm Prizes awarded

e. 8.30pm Coffee and Tea, with Q&A and discussions
Venue: Senior Common Room

I am sure his sharing would enlighten us all, helping us to understand, giving us the insights into the dynamics of marathon as much as in life?s journey, and finally, inspiring us to take up the challenge to take responsibility for HK’s future.

All responses and discussions are conducted with deepest respect for the Speaker. As always, Chatham House Rules applies. No member of the Press / Mass media, or general public will be present.
We are most honoured to have you join us for the evening. Thanking you,

Yours sincerely

Dr. Eric Chong Ph.D., King’s KQC, London, Cantab.
