Kick-Off for SJCAA Professional Gathering – AUDIT (2016 – career development in a volatile year?)
Professional gathering is organised by SJCAA to provide a platform to St. Johnians who graduated within 10 years to share ideas from a professional view. For each session, we will invite one or two St. Johnians working in the professional field to share their work experience and the latest industry development as well as to provide advices to younger alumni and current students. Alumni on that particular field are mostly welcome to come and exchange your ideas and to build up a professional network.
As a kick-off, we will launch the AUDIT session in February after the Chinese New Year.
We are witnessing a quite volatile year as the Year of the Monkey jumps closer. Oil price drops. Global stock markets plunge. RMB FX also weakens. Amid the volatile environment, are you seeking insight into your career development in the AUDIT field? Are you wondering how to view the changes from a professional?s perspective?
We are glad to invite Mr. James Kong (an alumnus who joined SJC in 2004) to share with us his view as an audit professional over dinner to kick-start the Year of the Monkey.
Alumni who graduated within 10 years and current students are welcomed to join.

1/F Floor Chair (06-07)
– Aquatics team captain (05-06), softball team captain (06-07)
– Studied accounting and finance
– Joined Big 4 audit since graduation in 2007
– Audit experience:
o Audited for Blue Chip companies & Hang Seng Index Component as well as multinational corporates listed in France, UK
o Worked in audit for IPOs in HK
o 18 months secondment in the US
o Audits for clients from PRC, Taiwan, Hong Kong background
