WWII Battle of Hong Kong Walking Tour

Visit two of the most important battle sites of the Second World War in Hong Kong under the direction of the College historian Dr. David Macri. Learn about one of the more difficult periods in Hong Kong’s history during the twentieth century. Join us as we walk the ground where the war in China became the Pacific War in December 1941.

2) Stanley War Memorial
Fees:
AA Member, Spouse or children: HKD50/person
Non-member (Guest): HKD100/person

After concluding at the Stanley War Memorial (around 1:00 to 1:30 p.m.) you may continue on your own in Stanley for the remainder of the day. Proper hiking footwear and water are a must.

The tour is open to all St. John’s College Alumni, families and guests. The maximum number of participants is 40. In the event of severe weather conditions the tour will be rescheduled for Sunday 4 May 2014.
