SJCAA is now organizing two Photography Workshops with our 3/F brother Mr. Yankov Hiu Cho Wong.
We have received overwhelming responses to our early announcement of the Photography Workshops!
15 seats of Workshop 1 – Studio Photography (Portraiture) have been filled within 72 hours after our launch! Workshop 2 – Supercar Photography (Car In Motion) was also half filled up. So far 2 Ferrari’s (430 & 360) and a Porsche (GT3 RS) have now been lined up for the “shooting”!
In response to the over-subscription, Yankov has agreed to conduct one additional Studio Photography (Portraiture) Workshop on Sunday 25 Aug 2pm – 5pm. If you haven’t registered yet, please don’t miss this last chance to pick up your basic skills!

Workshop 1 – Studio Photography (Portraiture)
The basic technique of taking a good picture is all about lighting. No matter taking picture at outdoor scenery or indoor portrait, mastering light in studio enable photographers to be more aware of the characteristics of light. It also helps in natural light photography and remote flash situations. Moreover, there are photos which are technically impossible to be done outside of a studio environment. This course is ideal for studio photography beginners. You will be able to learn basic technique in studio environment. With the guidance of professional photographer, you will be able to handle your own studio set up with ease.
Date: Sunday, 25th August, 2013
Time: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm (1 hr lecture + 2 hrs with model)
Location: Yankov Wong professional studio at
Unit 613, 1 Hung To Road, Kwun Tong
Quota: 15 people per class (First come first served)
Fee: $150 (Non AA member $200)
Equipment requirement
Camera: DSLR recommended, mirror-less camera acceptable.
Must have a hot shoe (connection for flash) on the camera. Must have “M (full manual) mode”
Lens: For full frame camera any lens in the range of 70-135mm; for cropped sensor (APS-C), 50-110mm, for Mirror-less camera 35-70mm
Workshop 2 – Supercar Photography (Car In Motion)
If you want to take your basic skills to another level, stepping up from studio photography, Supercar photography can be another option to fulfill your appetite. Mixed with outdoor lighting and a moving supercar, you just need some special technique to take your beloved one in motion. Want to know more, come and find it out!

Quota: 20 people per class (First come first served)
Fee: $250 (Non AA member $300)

Lens: One tele lens (70-200mm) and one wide lens (10-35mm)

About Yankov Wong
Mr. Yankov Wong – 3/F brother, graduated from U.C.L.A. (The University of California, Los Angeles) with a Master of Fine Arts. He also earned a B.F.A. with first class honor from the H.K.A.P.A. Yankov has been actively involved in photography, theatre and motion picture productions in Hong Kong and Los Angeles.
