Dear fellow St. Johnians,
Motor Orienteering is a motor racing in which a map is used to navigate along unfamiliar roads. The race has evolved from rally into a sport, with stronger focus on navigation. We are delighted to announce that our 3rd Motor Orienteering (the SJC Centennial MOT) will be held on Sunday,7th Oct, 2012. We could now re-experience the excitement that we had 10 years ago!
Details of the event are as follows: –
Date: 7th Oct, 2012 (Sun)
Time: 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Venue: Whitehead Club, Ma On Shan, N.T.
Enrollment fee: Depends on the engine capacity of the vehicles:
<1500cc HK$400; 1501-2500c.c HK$600
2501 – 3500c.c HK$1,000 3501 or above HK$1,500
Buffet lunch will be $200 / adult, $120 for children under 12 and free for children under 3
All income, excluding administration fee, will be donated to St. John’s Foundation. (Volunteer donations in addition to enrollment fee are welcome.)
Route: 22 checkpoints around Hong Kong, Kowloon and the New Territories; for approximately 5 hours
Registration: Maximum of 30 teams on a first-come-first-served basis
Each team with no more than 5 team members with at least 1 registered member of SJCAA

Other Activities: Golf Driving Range, bicycle, mahjong, fishing and kite
