Almost 100 Alumni gathered at the ShenZhen Golf Club on Sat 14 March 2009 to witness the official opening of the SJCAA Guangdong Chapter.
During the afternoon, about 50 alumuni firstly went to the golf driving range to practice some swings. Although most of the people were the first time to play golf, they seemed to enjoyed the game very much.
Then the cocktail started at 6:00 pm at the Shenzhen Golf Club. This time, we served the College traditional wine – sherry.
Dinner started right after the cocktail at 7:00 pm. We were very pleased to have Dr. Eric Chong – our new Master from St. John’s, Dr. KC Wong – Dean of Student of SJC coming. Also Ms. Margaret Lam of the HKU Alumni Office also came all the way from HK to Shenzhen as the special guest of the day.
After the College song led by the former Chairpersons of SJCSA, everyone enjoyed 12 courses of delicious Chinese dinner.
The highlight of the night was the beer competition which was won by our alumni in Shenzhen.
After the lucky draw and a group photo was taken before people went home.
At the end, there were more than 50 people joining the SJCAA as full members. We thank them for their participation and support of the Alumni activities.
