On Saturday 22 Sep, more than 100 Alumni from the late 80’s gathered in the St. John’s Dining Hall to celebrate their 20th Anniversary of friendship – ’87 強勁回歸’ – organized by a group of St. Johnians led by Mr. James Ho.
The dinner was round table format giving the Alumni a memory of the good old days when we gathered around in the Dining Hall for functions like: Anniversary Nite, Farewell Nite or Christmas at Home Party.
The highlights of the dinner included the “cross-singing competition” of the floor songs. The Alumni from the Home of Adventurers were singing the floor song of Liberata, the Six Floor Brothers were singing the floor song of Elysium and the sisters from Kew Garden were singing the floor song of “梁山泊 “…etc.
There were alumni who had never come back to St. John’s since their graduation and they were very surprised to see the Third Wing of the College. Other people were very pleased to have the opportunities to meet with old friends and sang together some of the “old’ songs sung by them during the late 80’s.
At the end of the function, everyone got a very nice T-shirt with a big sign of “87” at the back which was designed by “Bun Chai” of the 80’s.
