Great news for all St. Johnians! St. John’s College Choir has been invited to represent Hong Kong SAR at the Busan APEC Choral Festival and Competition 2005.
At this year’s Inter-hall Choir Competition, the Choir did not only secure our third-in-a-roll Champion title, but we did it in a fashion that other competitors could not even manage to come close to. On the spot, the chief adjudicator Mr. Leon Tong praised highly our Choir and recommended us to join the aforementioned event.
The Choir would be presenting a fund-raising Pre-Tour Concert to give all St. Johnians a chance to watch them perform before they head to Korea. In the show the Choir would perform their pieces for the Festival, and apart from this you would also hear soloists and groups giving you a wide range of musical performances. The highlight will be our guest performers Dr. Ho Pak Cheong and his company, the King’s Harmonica Quinte. The King’s Harmonica Quintet has captured the 1997 World Champion title and numerous other awards. This is a performance not to be missed!

All proceeds from this Performance will be used to sponsor the expenses of the Busan Tour.
